Candy Kitchen Australia was created in 1988 by Master Sugar Confectioner, Nils Nilsson, who began his career as an apprentice in a candy factory in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1949.
With nearly 58 years of experience behind him Nils opened the Candy Kitchen’s first store in Coffs Harbour, New South Wales. It soon became a real family affair when Nils trained his son’s, Brian and Allan, in the art of hand-making the perfect candy.
18 years on, the Nillson family still run the original Candy Kitchen store in Coffs Harbour and they continue to grow the business that today includes franchise stores throughout Australia with more opening very soon.
